- A member of Congress, Happy Camp, has been assisting the Carter County Chickasaw Tribal Council with issues related to the Johnson-O'Malley funds. The Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs has been conducting a detailed audit of the funds. Happy Camp has been communicating with both the Tribal Council and the BIA to address concerns and ensure proper procedures are followed. There have been delays in responses due to re-referrals and incidents at the BIA building. Happy Camp is actively involved in addressing the concerns of the Indian people and their educational programs.
