- Description:
- The Bureau of Indian Affairs responded to a letter from Mrs. Lois Malcom regarding the St. Labre Indian Mission School in Montana. They provided information on the programs and assistance provided to the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, including education, health care, vocational training, and job opportunities. Despite these efforts, poverty remains due to economic underdevelopment on the reservation. Congressman Page Belcher also expressed his views on government spending and tax revision, and offered to assist Mrs. Malcom with any other concerns.
