- Description:
- Mrs. Albert Brett is trying to trace her ancestral Indian tribe number and has reached out to various government agencies for help. Despite efforts from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and National Archives, they were unable to locate the information she desired. Honorable Page Belcher, a Member of Congress, offered continued assistance but ultimately could not provide the information Mrs. Brett was seeking. The National Archives and Records Service also conducted a search but did not find any mention of the individuals Mrs. Brett was looking for in their records. The Bureau of Indian Affairs forwarded Mrs. Brett's letter to the National Archives for further investigation. Despite the efforts of these agencies, Mrs. Brett's search for her ancestral Indian tribe number remains unsuccessful.
