- Description:
- Mrs. Alice Murie sent a letter to Congressman Page Belcher requesting information on the Pawnee claim against the Federal Government. The Bureau of Indian Affairs informed Congressman Belcher that the Pawnee Tribe is entitled to recover, but the amount of the award has not yet been determined. A hearing has been set for December to present evidence on the value of the land taken. Congressman Belcher was advised to direct any further inquiries to the attorneys representing the tribe.
