- Description:
- The Bureau of Indian Affairs was instructed to halt negotiations with private contractors for the operation of the Chilocco Indian School. The decision to contract with a private organization will be carefully considered if pursued in the future. There have been no formal negotiations with a contractor, only exploration of the feasibility of a pilot project. The Bureau was interested in how a private contractor could operate the school with more flexibility.
