- The document consists of a series of letters dated in May and June 1969 regarding the Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma. Congresswoman Page Belcher is corresponding with Mrs. Delphine Rhodd about the possibility of the Bureau of Indian Affairs contracting with a private organization to operate the school. Mrs. Rhodd has expressed concerns and gathered support from a group called "Indian Citizens for Action" to protest any Congressional action that might abolish or phase out the Bureau of Indian Affairs or Indian boarding schools without the consent of the majority of Indian people.
