- Description:
- Mr. Leist wrote to Senator Bartlett asking for help in preserving and renewing Title IV-A of the Indian Education Act, which provides funding for Indian teacher aides and other programs to help Indian students in public schools. Senator Bartlett responded, thanking Mr. Leist for his concerns and stating that legislation for reauthorization of funds is not expected to be reported out of Committee before the end of the session.
