- Description:
- T. Bear of Checotah, Oklahoma wrote to Congressman Carl Albert on January 15, 1949, expressing concern about the lack of funding for the Eufaula Indian Boarding School, which serves Creek Indians. He requested Congressman Albert's cooperation in restoring the funds for the school, noting that it is the only school for the Creek Indians and serves orphans and children from broken homes. Congressman Albert responded on January 27, 1949, assuring Bear that he will work to get the school back in the budget.
