- Mr. Clark Jackson wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert expressing his urgency in receiving the capital payment for the Choctaw Indians. Congressman Albert responded by informing Jackson that payments would begin in July and that they had been pressuring the Indian Service to expedite the process. Albert assured Jackson that the checks would be mailed soon and requested that he inform his neighbors. Albert also offered his assistance and encouraged Jackson to reach out if needed.
