- Description:
- Elmer Brown, President of the Kiamichi Development Association, wrote to Congressman Carl Albert expressing concern about the reduction in jobs at Talihina Indian Hospital. He believed that more personnel was needed and that the reason given for the layoffs, a reduction in funds, was not true. Congressman Albert assured Brown that he would do everything in his power to save as many jobs as possible and would provide an update on the situation soon. Brown thanked Albert for addressing the issue and offered the association's assistance.
