- Description:
- The letter is a request from W.W. Keeler, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, to Honorable Carl Albert, asking for his influence to stop the closure of the Indian Hospital at Claremore, Oklahoma by the A.U.S. Public Health Service. Keeler believes that closing the hospital would leave many Indians without medical treatment and considers it to be a false economy. He expresses appreciation for any help Albert can provide on this issue.
