- Description:
- In a letter dated October 20, 1952, attorney W. F. Semple advises Mr. Harry J. W. Belvin, Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation, not to introduce a resolution asking for the removal of certain individuals at that time. Semple believes that Belvin's appointment will still be made and suggests waiting to see how things progress before taking any action against the individuals in question. Semple advises Belvin to focus on getting the Department to proceed with his appointment rather than starting a conflict with local officials.
