- The United Indian Tribes of Western Oklahoma and Kansas support the proposed location of a new Indian hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma to provide better access to medical services for Indian people in the area. They request the support of the Director of Indian Public Health Service and suggest that plans for a hospital in Ada, Oklahoma be put on hold until further study is conducted. The resolution was adopted unanimously at a meeting in July 1974.
