- Description:
- Committees have been working to improve adult education for tribal members, but success has been limited. Only 14.7% of participants passed their GED test. The proposed adult education program aims to increase enrollment, improve GED pass rates, raise literacy levels, lower unemployment, increase cultural awareness, and provide assistance with various issues such as consumer education and legal rights. Additionally, a "Grandparent" program is proposed to involve older tribal members in working with children in pre-school centers.
