The Act also allows for the conduct of elections among tribe members on tribal constitution and bylaws, with certain provisions for adoption and election of a governing body. The Act provides for the negotiation of tribal assumption of corporation assets and exempts transferred assets from taxation. It also addresses the management of tribal assets, hunting and fishing regulations, and federal financial assistance to local public schools for Menominee enrollees.
