![["The State of Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission is requesting assistance from Senator David Boren regarding jurisdictional issues over Indian Country within the Anadarko Area. They are seeking clarification on federal policies and commitments towards Indian tribes, particularly in relation to law enforcement jurisdiction. The Commission has taken action in response to concerns from the Indian community and is working towards establishing a Court of Indian Offenses. They are also appointing qualified law enforcement officers to work in cooperation with federal and local agencies to enhance law enforcement in rural Oklahoma.
