![["Mrs. Clarence E. Gosney of Perry, Oklahoma wrote to Hon. Page Belcher regarding needy Indian children who may be quitting school due to the inability to afford school lunches and supplies. The Bureau of Indian Affairs investigated the matter and found that the school in Perry adequately met the needs of Indian children, with only a few Indian students enrolled and receiving free lunches. There was no evidence of Indian children being asked to quit school due to financial reasons. The Bureau of Indian Affairs thanked Hon. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is investigating the legal status of the land and whether it can be restored to tribal ownership. The matter is being studied by the Office of the Solicitor for the Department of the Interior, and further information will be provided once the Solicitor's opinion is available. The Caddo Tribe is seeking recognition of their rights to certain parcels of land, and their request has been submitted through official resolutions to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
