The Tribal Government Development Program will fund projects such as training tribal council members, developing ordinances and constitutions, and improving budgetary processes. The goal is to strengthen tribal governments and promote self-determination among Indian tribes. Tribes were selected based on need, economic level, and number of enrolled members.
