Schwabe expressing the Federation's disagreement with the Indian Claims Commission Bill introduced by Representative Stigler. The Federation believes the bill does not fulfill the Republican party's national platform pledges of 1940 and 1944 regarding Indian claims. They urge Congressman Schwabe to introduce a bill that will lead to an immediate settlement of all Indian claims. Congressman Schwabe responds, expressing his willingness to work with the Indian leaders to determine the best course of action and requesting their input on what kind of bill they would like to see introduced.
