![["Commissioner Grimes of the Oklahoma Insurance Department is expressing concern about the Department of Labor's recent opinion granting ERISA preemption to Diversified Industrial Group, allowing them to avoid state regulation. The Oklahoma Insurance Department feels that the Department of Labor did not conduct an independent investigation before issuing the opinion and believes it could lead to financial harm for consumers. As a result, they will forward all complaints and inquiries about Diversified to the Dallas branch of the Department of Labor, stating that the Department of Labor has exclusive jurisdiction over the program.
