![["The Department of Health, Education, and Welfare has decided that non-Indian widows of deceased beneficiaries of the Indian health program who were enrolled members of the Five Civilized Tribes should continue to receive medical services on the same basis as other beneficiaries. This decision is based on the long-standing dependency of the group on these services and the minimal impact on other Indian beneficiaries. The continuation of health services is limited to widows whose husbands were enrolled members of the Five Civilized Tribes and who have not remarried. The decision was made after a thorough study and additional information provided by Chief Belvin.
